If you are already familiar with an app, then this is not the resource you want to start off with. I had not used Microsoft Project since Project , and I hadn't used it that much in my job anyway so I bought this to get me up to speed on the interface changes, new features, etc. The best thing about Step by Step books is that they provide practice files and EXACT instructions so you know that you are using the application correctly.

Great series. I highly recommend it for beginners and intermediate users who want a good solid understanding of an app. For a deeper dive on individual aspects of the app, I would choose another resource like "Project Unleashed", etc. Good transaction, fast shipping item as described.

Wonderful book for the beginner. It comes with practice files that go along with the book. It walks you through just like the title step by step. Many books proclaim that, but expect you to "know" some things already. This book teaches the things to "know"1. In short, no one resource can answer all questions to the satisfaction of all users. Be prepared to invest time to master the content of this resource.

Exactly what i wanted great product. I used this for a college class. It was very easy to follow and I learned a lot that was easily translatable to my job. I had to have this for one of my classes, and found I loved having books available in Kindle form. Most of the information is common sense to an experienced manager, but good for beginners to learn. This is fine until you need the files. MSProject is v expensive for personal use so most project managers will only have it installed on a work machine. Now just try downloading or copying them onto a hardened machine such as those issued by almost any modern company. Report abuse. Having had no previous experience of Project I found this book to be extremely clear and helpful, with topics introduced and explained in a straightforward manner.

Useful for the basic day to day features of the product. Would need another product for the more in depth, more advanced, less used features.
